JAKOB

A.K.A. Jake, Bud, Big Brother

Jakob is a rambunctious 5 year old. He is in Kindergarten, learning LOTS of new things. His birthday is 16 September 2000. He was a little young to start kindergarten, so we may be considering this year as 'PreK'.

Jakob loves playing with friends. He always loves having people over, or going to other people's houses. He is always on the go. Bundle full of energy.

The week before Thanksgiving last year (2005) Jakob learned how to ride his bike. Now he is a pro. And VERY agile. He loves to get his speed up, then stick his feet up by the handle bars. He is also good at doing circles, tight turns and 'burning rubber' (by braking fast, so he can leave a tire mark).

Jakob's latest is that he wants to be a Chef. He is always wanting to 'help' or watch Mommy cook. (hehee...ok, so that happens rarely, j/k) He likes to flip pancakes, crack eggs, mix cookies/dough/jello and help make grilled cheese sandwiches.

He is, for the most part, an incredible big brother. He is so sweet and cute with Benjamin, always saying things like 'come to big brother'. Or trying to get him to eat. He sometimes plays well with Zaelynn. Those two are at 'that age'. The word 'sibling rivalry' comes to mind. They easily provoke each other. It IS nice when they do get along. (though sometimes it's while getting into mischief).

I have heard many tell me that Jakob is a very 'well rounded' boy. He can get along well with most any age group, and is comfortable in all kinds of situations. He is willing to try new experiences and new foods.

Jakob doesn't do well at all, when taking medication. A couple of times we have had to put medicine on his wart~he almost had a coniption...especially the first time we did it. Trying to give him cold medication~that's another story. He isn't quite as bad now, as he used to be. Especially when he was 2 and 3 years old. It's a good thing he didn't get sick often. We have only had to give him ant-biotics once...when he was around 3 months old.

Ok...after I've made this short story long. LOL. You can tell Jakob is an 'oldest child'.
