Family Meeting

Last evening we were winding down for the night...getting dinner cleared, finishing the dishes, etc. Well, Jon went outside for a moment, and all of a sudden, out of the blue Jakob states, 'We need to have a family meeting'. Alrighty then...where and how did he come up with this? We didn't have a clue. We hadn't ever really called together family meetings, so I was very curious as to what brought this up.

Well, Jakob cleared that up for us, soon there after. He started putting the lawn chairs around our outside fire pit, and said that that was where we were going to have the meeting, with a fire and everything. The night before the Young Men from church had been over for an activity. I guess Jakob figured since that activity was called a 'meeting', that if the family was involved it would therefore be called a 'family meeting'.

It was so funny though, the way he stated it. Kind of matter-of-fact. Like there was a problem or issue that we needed to discuss as a family, and that the obvious next step was to call for a family meeting. When all it really was, was a rouse to get another fire going.
