Family Fun Weekend

Ok...so we had a really fun weekend, and did lots of fun things, but for some reason I ended up not taking ANY pictures with my camera. I forgot to take it with us on Saturday, and then Sunday I just never got it out! (our friends took a couple, and then I got a couple on my phone...so we will see about getting at least a few on this post.)

Saturday we went to a train park for 'Special Day for Special Kids'. There were bounce houses, a petting Zoo (with rabbits, goats, sheep and pigs), there were Mascots from different teams: Coyotes, Cardinals, Suns. We got free popcorn, icees, pop, etc.

Then we went on to an Outdoor Expo. This was really fun, and I REALLY wish I would have had my camera. Jakob & even Ben tried the rock climbing wall. (I had my phone camera, but they're not that great of pictures) We went into a Jeep Simulator. Also, there was a place you could get your picture taken, where it looks like you are at the Grand Canyon. Jakob did some shooting. Once with a 22 pistol, and again with a 22 shotgun. I even shot the 22 shotgun, didn't do too bad, either.

On Sunday we had already made dinner plans with Robert & Shelley. Then we got a message from Grandma Betty, that they were planning to be in the area, and would like to come visit. So, we asked if they could stay for dinner, and she and her husband, Jorge, came to visit and have dinner. It was sweet to see Zae with her grandma. :) Jorge sure likes Zae, it was cute how she really warmed up to him, too. This is probably only the 2nd time she has ever seen him. Yet, they really got along well.
