April Fools?

Nope...it's for real. Even though today IS April Fools day, it's no joke (though I am sure Jon wishes it were an April Fools joke) we bought some chickens today. Well, let me clarify I bought some chickens today. Jon will say we got 3 more dragons. Our cat Teddy is dragon #1...He calls our animals that because dragons aren't real they are figments of our imagination. That is Jon's take on any animal. We wouldn't have any pets, or animals if it were up to him. So, now we have dragons #2, 3 and 4.

They are New Hampshire Reds. They are about 6 months old, and started laying about 1 month ago. In fact, we have already gotten our first egg. :) It probably got startled out of her, I don't think the chickens much like Teddy. We still haven't finished the enclosure of the Chicken Coop. (that's a whole other entry...we are coming up with a most interesting coop. LOL)

Zaelynn is already totally in love with them..she can't get enough. She keeps on going outside to check on them, and see how they are doing. Even with her broken arm she is still able to chase after and catch them. I am amazed.
