We almost went with a purple cast, cause I am a bit worried that the pink cast will more easily get dirty. I guess we just have to be careful. She has to be re-seen next week, to make sure the bones are aligning right. They didn't like the X-ray that was taken at the Urgent Care. In retrospect thinking about the comments that the doctor made at the Urgent Care, I don't think she liked them either, but of course she isn't going to say anything to me about her technician. He only took one shot, and it was with Zaelynn holding a plate between her arm and body. So no straight shot of the arm, or inside shot. Just one x-ray from the outside. And aren't they supposed to put a lead apron on her? She didn't get one put on her.
At the Orthopedic Surgeon's office, they used a portable machine, that showed a 'live' x-ray, so that was pretty cool. They got it at all different angles.
It sounds like she will have to have the cast for about 8 weeks...maybe she will get it off just in time to go to Utah for Memorial Weekend. I hope so, because if it doesn't get taken off, I won't be able to stay in Utah for 2 or 3 weeks after, we would have to come back to get the cast off.
