Fabulous Fifties

Jakob was in a play today and yesterday. His school put it on. It was the Kindergarten thru 3rd graders. Very cute. :)

Jakob had a part where he played Elvis. He sang 'Ain't nothin' but a Hound Dog'. He was a little shy about it, but he was still way adorable.

I like the charter school that Jakob is going to. I like that it has some extra curricular classes. Like dance, music and such. They even do after school sports once a week. All of the children have to learn the violin once they are in 4th grade.

Each year the K thru 3rd graders put on a production. (This year it was Fabulous Fifties, last year it was Oliver). The 4th thru 6th graders also do a production.

Besides doing these productions they put on a 'hoe down' in October, and then a Christmas program in December. There also is 'extra' productions, put on by a special group called 'kids next door'. You have to try out to be in this group. It is mostly made up of 4th and 5th graders. You can't be shy about preforming, and you have to be able to sing and dance.
