This was a fun little outting we had with the kiddos, and some friends. The 3 day weekend in January, we went with another family, to try some 'Urban Fishing'. (That sounds like an oxymoron to me - Urban Fishing - LOL) We also took one of Jakob's best friends.
Not many fish were caught (I don't think any were, actually), but the kiddos loved playing near the water, feeding the birds, playing on the playground, etc.
Later that week these same friends came over to our house for a BBQ. We gotta have them over again, soon. Yum! They sure know how to grill up a feast. Steak, shrimp, hamburger, hotdogs. :) The weather is JUST RIGHT for these back yard BBQ's, and now that we have gotten our lawn mower running (finally - with thought the engine had seized, come to find out a nerf football was stuck REALLY TIGHT in the blades), and we also bought a new weed eater. Bah-bye backyard jungle. Now to just get rid of half the kiddos toys back there.
