'rest'room???? What's that?

A while back I came upon a picture that really hit close to home. They say a picture can speak a thousand words...well, this one speaks at least that many. LOL

I just wanna laugh when I see it...it SO reminds me of my 3. You've got Jakob...the ever precocious one, getting into things while you aren't paying attention. Then there is Zae, every sensative and ready for a good 'whine', Or screech, if things weren't 'just so'. Can't forget Benjamin, didn't quite get the hang of walking until 18 months old...so always needed to be carried around, while 'out and about'...but still wanted to get down. Especially if it was a icky bathroom floor. (at least it seemed). Tie that in with me barely clinging to sanity...with my mouth going 3 different directions. No wonder I didn't like carrying a purse. (I usually just carry a wallet) I might have tried strangling myself or the kiddos with the strap. j/k I guess I could have at least used it for a leash.

I really feel like there must be at least one person out there (the creator of this picture) that understands what it is like to have 3 young children in tow, at all times.

I am sure there are some people that look at the little seats attached to the wall in a few bathroom stalls, and wonder 'What? Isn't that contraption out by the sinks enough?', and then closely followed by 'Why? is there a seat on the wall?' Well, my comments to those ladies would be 'oh, you must have no children'. When I look at those little pull down seats in those few and far between stalls I think 'Why not 2'? Especially a couple of years ago when we first brought Zae (and then Benjamin a few weeks later) home. What I would have done to have a seat to place the little ones in. Most of the time I was blessed to have a hubby along to help. But those crazy few times when I am alone...that's where it would be nice to have a stronger bladder. Plus, when you have an older one that is potty trained, but still needs help...what do you do with the 2 younger ones? Thank goodness Jakob was really old enough by this time.

This totally reminds me of that email I got that you always need to go to public restrooms in twos, 'cause the door will never latch, you will most likely end up in a stall with no tissue, and you need someone to hold your purse. :) Yeah, I remember avoiding like the plague going out in public with too many little ones, and every time I did attempt it, I regretted it. It's much different now. When I take my older kids, I inevitably put something in the cart to buy that I wouldn't have otherwise (that they ask for) but it is worth it when they help load and unload the groceries.
