As I was writing about Jakob's b-day, I realized that I didn't 'blog' about what happened with the other kiddo's b-days. Unfortunetly I don't have that great of a memory, so I really don't have much to write now, either. I can't remember Jakob's b-days much, from when he was younger, either. When they are just 2 and 3 years old, b-days are so much easier...they don't know or antisipate that their b-days are coming.
Great example would be Zae's b-day. I had planned to have a fun get together, and to give her a fun big doll set, with stroller, carseat, etc. Well, just days before her b-day we got the call that Grandpa Broderick had passed away. In planning our trip to Utah for the funeral, I and the kiddos ended up staying in Utah for a couple of weeks after the funeral, and Jon went home. Well, there really isn't much in the way of b-day gifts in good ole' Cannonville. So, a couple of days prior to Zae's birthday I was considering what we should do, and what we should get her...then with family and all, it kinda left my brain, and on the day of her b-day me and my Mom took Zae and Benjamin to Panguitch to do some other errands. About an hour into errands I looked at a calenard and exclaimed 'Today is Zae's b-day!' I hadn't even known what day it was, until that point. With no time schedule to keep me on track, the days just kinda got away from me. Well, we did an impromptu birthday for her. Took her out to eat at Subway, let her pick some fun gifts at the store (It worked out that we were in a bigger town, that actually had toys. ;) ) and then got her a mylar balloon with Dora the Explorer on it. I think she enjoyed her day. No pictures, though. I actually don't know what happened to any of the pictures from May, June and the first part of July. I can't seem to find any that I was sure we had taken during that time.
That said, that means no pictures for Ben's b-day either. :( I really gotta do better at that. For Ben's b-day we went to Amazing Jakes to eat. Hey! We do have a picture from his b-day. We had the kiddos sit in one of those booths, that was there at Amazing Jakes. I will have to take time to scan that in sometime. Amazing Jake's is a Pizza Buffet place. But Pizza isn't the only thing that it has. It also has pasta's, salad's, bake potatoes, desserts, etc. There are 3 different rooms that you can eat in. One room is the 'garden' room, and has quite a few varieties of plant life. Another area is a sports area, where there are different games playing on the tv. Then the 3rd room (the one we always end up in) is the movie room. They play movies like 'Shrek' 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory', 'Mary Poppins', etc. This is, of course, the favorite for the kiddos. Then there are the games, and rides that you can do. With tokens. Trying to win tickets. We have been there probably about 4 or 5 times. It is a family favorite.
