I am liking my family's new tradition of Reunions...I hope we keep it going. Each year we are going to each try to take a turn at choosing where to go on vacation, and then whoever can go, will.
Last year we went to Lake Powell, rented a couple of wave-runners, and took my Dad's boat. That was awesome!
This year we went to Rocky Point, Mexico! The only problem was it wasn't nearly long enough! The weather was beautiful! The kiddos couldn't get enough of playing in the ocean & sand. We had a great house that we rented, with 7 bedrooms! We stayed for 2 nights.
We got some fresh shrimp and fish at the market. TASTY! I have never tasted shrimp that good. I wanted to take some home with me.
I think Jon, I & our kiddos are getting hooked on Rocky Point! We went last year with his parents & David. That was really great, too! We had fun gathering shells, and shopping the market on the pier. The water was a little bit too cold to play in, it was February. ;)
Next year the plan for our family reunion is to go to Nauvoo. Do the church history tour. I don't know that we will be going, because we have such young kiddos...can you imagine that road trip?! We will see how they (especially Ben) are doing by next somewhere, kind of play it by ear.

My advice: visit Nauvoo in the fall (like right now). Any other time of year is going to be muggy, buggy and sweaty.
We went there in June without air conditioning and it was... a lot of fun.
