HALLOWEEN

Wish I knew of a way of changing posts around, so they are more in chronological order. I forgot to write in Halloween...and now it is 2 weeks later, we got a couple of pictures of the kiddos...but the camera hadn't been charged, so we didn't get much :(

The kiddos enjoyed Halloween this year. Jakob totally got into spook allies, though he wouldn't go in one, if he thought it would be too scary. The one that they had at his school, Ben was the only one that actually went in. The spook allie at the school was on the same night that they had the Hoe Down. It is always cute to see Jakob dance.

Benjamin liked all of the decorations that represented halloween. We would go into a store and he would say, 'bat, bat' or 'punkin, punkin' I loved how he says halloween, something 'hawuweeen'. Very cute.

Zaelynn was a bit afraid of the whole halloween concept. She would actually start to shake when there was something spooky around. We went into a store called 'Spirit of Halloween', she truly hated it, and it took everything to get her to even go part way into the store. (We were there to get a couple of black lights, or our own spook allie...which we did make, but ended up taking down a day or so later, because it was on our front porch, and Jakob wasn't patient enough to wait until closer to halloween, so it looked kinda silly to have tarps and such hanging from our porch, too bad I didn't get any pictures, it was kinda cool)

We did Trunk or Treat Halloween night, and also a little door to door trick or treating. (you have to do a little of that! The kiddos have to get a taste of what that's all about.) There was one house that we were recommended to go to, it was about 4 or 5 miles away...it's almost the only house you need to go to. They have halloween decorations from before there front door, and through to their back door and into the backyard. There are treats and 'stations' along the way. Then you leave through their side yard. There is another place I would have liked the camera...maybe next year, cause it is a yearly event.

Zaelynn was Pocahontas, Jakob was Batman and Ben was a Spider. I guess I was a Renaissance Witch...but no need of pictures of me. The one Jon got, it is WAY to close up!

Zaelynn and Jakob each went to a Halloween Themed birthday parties. I got a picture of Zae as the princess. (hers was actually a princess party). Jakob wore his Batman costume to his party. Ben had a Halloween parade at his school, which I didn't take the camera for. He was the spider there, also. Though they had changed his pants, cause the black ones were a little wet. So he ended up in a red pair of shorts, it looked kinda funny. ;) Guess he was a black widow. (with the splash of red)
