Still on vacation....

These posts aren't all quite in order, but that's ok...they aren't on the right dates, either. (I 'earmarked' a bunch of posts on the 26th of June, cause I have so much to catch up on).

The day after Ben's birthday, and Matt & Amber's wedding we went up to Northern Utah. We had planned to go to Lagoon, but we didn't get as early a start in the morning, as we had hoped, also it was a HOT day (even for us Arizonians). Ben would not have done well walking around all day in that heat. So, on the way up to Plaine City (where Andrew, Denice & family live) we stopped along the way at a couple of neat museums. I think both were in Roy. They were right near each other. One was in a large log cabin, and depicted many objects and antiques from earlier Utah days. It was very interesting. Then we went over to the Aviation center, to look at all of the huge airplanes displayed. Some from Wars, and earlier model airplanes. We all enjoyed these places, and if we are ever in Northern Utah area again, we plan to go again.

There was a 'hands on' area where the kiddos were able to learn about aviation, try out simulators, and play with building things, etc. Sure wish there was a place around here like that, then I could take my Cub Scouts to it.

After the museums we went over to Andrew & Denice's place (Andrew is Jon's brother). I love where they live! They live next to a field with cows. In their community there are animals, fruit trees and it's just got a nice 'country' feel to it. The kiddos all enjoyed getting wet, and playing in the water, then we had a delicious lunch, and some great visiting. I have more pictures of our vacation, at our Picasa Web photo website.
