Sometimes it takes awhile for us to get the pictures from our digital camera downloaded...when we finally do, I look through them, and remember when they were taken. And then I want to put an entry here on our blog. Only problem, WAY out of order! I DO write some things down before the pictures are downloaded (then I just have to add the picture later), like Jakob's show, the kid's preschool, playing at the 'mini-carnival', etc. But it's hard to remember EVERYTHING.
So, do I just write them in random order? Hoping that I will later be able to figure it out? Maybe I could add an approximate date to it. I just wish there was a way to shuffle the blog around. Maybe we are going to have to try a different place to blog. Somewhere that I can click on a specific date on the calendar, and then blog under that date...I don't know if that is even possible, but it's a good idea! Then you could get a more accurate journal. Also, it would be cool if there was a mini calendar on the front page of your blog, and the date would be 'bold' if there was something journalized on it. One last 'wish list' for this dream blog...It would be printer friendly. When I wanted something hard copy, I could just click on a button that said 'print version', and the 'journaling' for the day I was on would come up in printing format, I could print it out, and stick it in a hard copy binder, for the kids.
So, if anyone knows of a place that this is possible PLEASE share the news. (Or if you are techy enough to create it, LOL) Scrapbookers everywhere would LOVE it. (Ok...just thought of another wish for this dream blog...you can add clipart, and have different types of fonts.) I think I am creating a whole website here! LOL Maybe that is what I am wanting, a SIMPLE way to create websites. Where I don't have to know HTML, etc. Just where I can type in what I want, in whatever font I want, and cut and paste pictures, clip-art, etc.

Blogger does allow you to put whatever date you want on a new post. However, if the date is older than the most recent blog's date, that entry won't show up first on your blog, which kind of defeats the purpose of the blog.
After reading your description of the perfect scrap booking website, I would recommend Google Pages (http://pages.google.com), which allows you to change the layout of your page, add pictures and text in whatever order you want, etc. It also has a limited amount of fonts to choose from. This is what I use for ryansarah.com and Matt uses it for mattandkimmy.googlepages.com. I would check it out and see if it does what you need. If not, I'll make a site that will do it...for a nominal fee :)
