Yay...Zae is finally trying to swim! The last couple of times that we have been to the pool, she has put her own face in the water, holds her breath under the water for up to about 8 seconds, and loves to 'swim' between Mom & Dad. Jon and I stand about 4 or 5 feet apart, and then help propell her to the other person. She really hasn't figured out how to kick her feet or splash her arms. But she IS keeping her face under, and then working on coming up, once she is completely propelled to the other person.
She just wants to keep on 'swimming' back and forth between people. Previous to this, she would basically just sit on the stairs, and not even get her hair wet. Unless she jumped in to one of us. So, we are pleased with her progress.
On top of all this, she is continuely adding more words and sentences to her vocabulary. It sometimes amazes me with what she says. Not always nice things, such as: 'I don't want that stuffed animal, it is stupid', or when she says 'Your not my friend no more', or 'I don't like you'. We will say, 'I love you too, Zaelynn', and she will respond with a screech of: 'No you DON'T love me'. This isn't all of the time. Most of the time she communicates really well and cute. It is SO nice to actually be able to have a conversation with her, and to find out what is going on in that cute little head of hers, and not have to try and guess. She is such a dramatic little girl, and hates it when she thinks she is being 'slighted'. Like if Benjamin gets a bottle and she 'only' gets a cup, instead of a sippy, she will refuse to drink her drink. I will have to ignore her behavior, and just let her know that her drink is on the table for her, when she is ready to have it.
She is really trying to find her little 'niche'. She loves attention. It's the neatest thing to her, when she gets to go on errands, or rides with someone. Especially with Robert and Shelley. She sure loves her Aunt Shelley.

My wife and I are having a daughter and would like to name her Zae. Can you e-mail me at blthompson02@aol.com and tell me what her name means? We can't find it ANYWHERE.
Thanks,
Brian Thompson
