Clement H. Broderick Obituary














ST. GEORGE - Clement H Broderick, age 84, died on May 5, 2006, at his home in St. George. He was born on January 21, 1922, in Roosevelt, Utah, to Ferry C. Broderick and Fanny Irene Pearce. He married Marie Cox from Rockville, in the St. George Temple, on September 16, 1941. Her parents are Arthur D. Cox and Cora Haight.

Clement was a Sea Bee in the Navy during WWII. He spent most of his life doing carpentry and contracting. He was a faithful member of the LDS Church. One of his favorite church positions was as a Temple Worker. He also had a wonderful tenor voice and loved singing duets with his wife as she played her accordion to his guitar. He will be missed by family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Marie and his 10 children: Glenna (Larry) Fletcher, Anita (Alma) Fletcher, Janeen, Roger (Linda), Joyce (Dennis) Johnson, Bert (Maggie), Viona (Dave) Evans, Betty, LaVon (Janiece), Antone (Kara), and 47 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers: Glenn (Lurrine), LaMar (Bernice), Sherwin (Ann Marie) and sister, Luelma Bradford.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Flood Street chapel, 400 E. 100 S., St. George, UT. First visitation will be on Friday, May 12, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 300 W. St. George Blvd. and second visitation will be on Saturday, May 13, from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. prior to services at the chapel, 400 E. 100 S., St. George, UT. Interment will be in the Emery City Cemetery, under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary, 435-673-4221.
