Ok...I'm not even sure how long it has been since I have posted here on my blog. Definitely have some note worthy posting to do right now. :)
Yesterday was a WONDERFUL day. After almost 2 years of roller coaster, we got to adopt Ariela!! I have felt from the beginning that Arie was a permanent part of our family. I guess it took almost 2 years for everything to align just right, and everyone else to be convinced. There were many times I wondered if maybe it was myself convincing me of this 'permanency' feeling, yet I couldn't shake it. :) Even fostering another little baby, who we love and adored...it just wasn't that same sense of eternity. I knew for him we were a temporary 'haven'.
It has been such a long road, I hardly dared to hope that everything would go through, yesterday. Let's say I was 'cautiously optimistic'. I didn't even make up our adoption announcement cards until the day before, and I didn't send them out. (I will be doing that in the next couple of days.)
A week from tomorrow (March 12th) we will be sealing Ariela to our family. SO Incredible!! Most of my family will be in town for the event. Robert and Shelley had triplets (yes, I said Triplets) in December. They will be blessing their babies on March 13th. It will be such a great weekend.
