Hanging By a Thread

About 2 and a half years ago I wrote a post called 'Title of Liberty'(It was in 2006, which marked the 5 year mark of 9/11) Well, with our economics in an upheaval, and so much going on in our world, today, I thought I would go back and read my post. It is interesting to note that when I wrote this post our economy seemed very strong, prosperous and 'booming'. (Especially in the housing market) In just 2 and a half short years we are closer to 'hanging by a thread' then ever before. Not only in economics, but also in governmental control. 2 and a half years is NOT a very long span of time. And for a nation to go from booming to 'bombing' (not literally, but figuratively) that is just crazy. So, what's ahead for the next 5 years??

So, instead of asking 'where were you on 9/11?' The question should now be asked, where will you be 5 years from now?

If so much can happen in such a short span of time, then much could happen in the months and years ahead.

So, without sounding like a doomsayer, I decided a little introspective is in order.

Following the council of the prophets. For years, decades and even centuries we have been told and counciled in the things we need to do. Is it to late to 'follow the prophet'? Are we going to be the 5 virgins left with no oil? I pray that both literally and spiritually I can do the things necessary to be prepared, 'come what may'.
