I never wrote anything in about Christmas 2006. I have a couple of really cute pictures that I want to add, that we got while going to an activity sponsored by one of Benjamin's Therapy Agencies.
Christmas of 2006 was quite, yet nice. We spent it here at home, with just the 5 of us. Christmas Eve we had Dinner with Shelley and Robert, so that we nice. :) They also came over for a short while on Christmas morning.
It was fun to watch the kiddos open their presents. We enjoyed talking to my parents and brother's and sister's on the phone, and also to Jon's parents.
This was our second Christmas here in our 'new' home. Ben learned to walk just before Christmas of 2005.
Anyways, on to the activity that we went to. The kiddos were able to sit on Santa's lap. Jakob was very serious about it, and asked for an airplane and a remote control car. The cutest was when he did an 'add on', and asked for a 'coat like yours'. He really liked Santa's red velvet coat. Wish my sister or Mom lived closer, I could have made them sew him one. I even bought some red velvet and some white trim. But I do not sew! Maybe he will still want one next year. :)
Zaelynn was a little nervous to sit on Santa's lap, I don't think she asked for anything, we were lucky to get her to stay long enough to get a few pictures.
Benjamin was also a little uncooperative about sitting on his lap. Maybe next year they will all be willing participants. I love getting Santa shots each year. I don't think we got Santa picture's for 2005, though. :(
At this activity there were other fun things to do. There was a train ride(which the kiddos loved), and at the end of the train ride there was a pile of snow. I got a cute shot of the kiddos scooping and throwing snow. Then they all got a chance to go down a snow covered hill, on a tube. It's amazing how much they loved just this little amount of snow that was brought in. (Since of course it doesn't snow in Phoenix) We REALLY need to take them on a snow day up in Flagstaff, or to my parents. We just hardly ever go to Cannonville during the winter because of the bad driving conditions. Guess we could find out when a bad storm is coming in, and drive there the day before. :)
Oh...on the tube ride down the hill, Jon took Benjamin down. Well, at the bottom there is someone catching all the riders...they couldn't grab on to Jon, and Jon was booking it down pretty fast, they ended up tipping over. Jon kept his arms around Ben, and took the brunt of the fall, but Ben still got a scrape on his forehead...I think you can see it in the pictures. I think he still would have gone down again, if there would have been time. (We only got 15 minutes of snow fun, until the herded us out, so the next group could play)
